About Me
Hi there! I’m Claire (she/her), a physiotherapist with a passion for fostering inclusivity in all aspects of care. My intention as a physiotherapist is to provide a space where everyone, particularly those often underrepresented in traditional spaces, feels seen, heard, and supported.

My areas of focus include working with individuals managing eating disorders or disordered eating, exploring intuitive movement, and providing care for trans and gender diverse individuals. I also have significant experience and very much enjoy working with those with chronic invisible illnesses such as hypermobility, pain, fatigue, dysautonomia, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, to help them get back to being able to do the things they want to do.

With either lived experience* and/or professional experience working with the LGBTQIA+ community, neurodivergent folk, those with eating disorders/disordered eating, those experiencing weight stigma and those having experienced trauma, I bring a holistic and integrative perspective to my practice. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where all bodies and minds are embraced, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Outside of work I have an ever changing set of hobbies I cycle through, including (but not limited to) gardening, surfing, knitting, camping, playing the guitar, hanging out in nature, cuddling my dog and watching-but-not-playing D&D.

My Approach
I practice through a whole-person-centred, trauma-informed, intersectional, neuro-affirming, body neutral, LGBTQIA+-literate lens (a whole lot of words - but important words!).

I enjoy working alongside people in a way that centres them as the expert of their experience, and I allow you to guide me in what feels most helpful and appropriate for your specific care.

I aim to remove shame around being a human-being experiencing adversity, knowing there is no way to be "perfect" along this journey of health and wellbeing.

It is my aim in working with you that not only do you leave with more comfort in your body, but that you leave with a sense of being cared-for, respected and appreciated for the unique and important human that you are.
